Ioana Cristina Casapu ist eine Berliner Autorin aus Rumänien, deren Werke in über 30 Anthologien und Zeitschriften auf Englisch und Rumänisch erschienen sind. 2016 debütierte sie mit dem Roman "Heart Beats: A Memoir of the Millennial Generation on Social Media (dt. Titel: Herzklopfen: Eine Millennial-Generation über soziale Medien). In ihren Texten untersucht sie eigenständige Ideen zu Feminismus, Migration, Politik und der Einsamkeit in europäischen Metropolen. Im Jahr 2024 gründete sie FLINTA* Literatur, Berlins Plattform für FLINTA-Autor*innen mit Migrations- oder Fluchthintergrund.

Ioana Cristina Casapu (b. Bucharest, Romania) is the author of two novels and has contributed to over 30 anthologies, magazines, and journals in English, German, and Romanian. Her writing has appeared in DAZED, Thought Catalog, Goethe-Institut, Berlin Art Parasites, DILEMA, Stadtsprachen Magazin and others.
Her debut novel, Deviații de Stereo, was published in 2016 by Casa de Pariuri Literare in Romania, and translated into English in 2019. She has curated international art projects and multidisciplinary exhibitions, with her work featured in over a dozen solo and group shows in Europe.
With 17 years of experience in cultural diplomacy, event design, and international affairs across four countries, she currently serves as Communications Officer at the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities in Berlin.
She is represented by Hilgemann.Art Gallery.
In 2024, she founded FLINTA Literatur*, a grassroots platform for migrant and displaced authors in Berlin. Her aim is to develop it into a fully funded, community-led public resource for artists, cultural workers, translators, and language activists.
